The department exists to cater for and nurture the sporting potentials of the student. As the adage goes “all work and no play makes Mary a dull girl” thus a realization that for the school to achieve greater academic excellence, then games has to play a pivotal role towards this end. Not only does games serve the academic purpose but also provides an avenue for the student to relax, engage in their favourite game and also compete with other students from other schools at different levels.
Other activities organized by this department include the teaching staff versus the students netball match and teaching staff versus school subordinate staff football match during the St Brigid’s day every year. Inter class football competition is always an event to look forward to every third term.
